Benidorm Guide: Levante Beach
Playa de Levante, so called because it is east facing and so sees the sun rise, is Benidorm's most popular beach.
It stretches between the Rincón de Loix and the castle rocks.
Cheerful, lively, colourful and fun are the adjectives that describe the atmosphere of Levante. It is very cosmopolitan. Watch out for the libarary. That is right, the beach has a library.
Between the main drag of the urban area and the Levante beach proper is the Paseo Marítimo de Levante (eastern sea walk), which is abuzz with a succession of bars, cafes and restaurants.
On offer at certain poinhts along Playa Levante are a variety of water activities, including water skiing, diving, para sailing and more. Also there are a number of children's play areas, sports and recreational areas.
For the most part people prefer to chill out, enjoy the sun bathing and the occasional swimming dip to cool down.
The beach has several lifeguard posts, also patrolling lifeguards. It has important amenities such as changing rooms and toilets and is well supplied with litter bins.
Blue Flag Certificates: Qualitur “Q”, ISO 9001, ISO 14001
