>> Levante Beach >> Poniente Beach>> Malpas Beach
Benidorm south facing beaches have been consistently awarded the Blue Flag of the European Federation of Environmental since 1987. They also have the Qualitur “Q” certificate of the Spanish Institute of Tourist Quality (ICTE).
The stretch of sand immediately available to Benidorm is about 4 miles long and is best described as an urban beach. A similar set up as Río de Janeiro, Miami Beach or Mar del Plata.
There are two main beaches in Benidorm,Levante Beach and Poniente Beach, both easily accessible, offering quality services, warm water and fine sands.
Levante Beach is perhaps the most popular beach in Benidorm with its great stretch of golden sand edging the clean sea water. It is beach immediately in front of the urban build and so is the most cosmopolitan beach in Benidorm and lies along the Benidorm coast with great restaurants, cafes and bars. Poniente Beach lies on the far side of the old town, is quieter and is popular with local families.
There are variety of water sports in Benidorm to choose from including water skiing, diving, para-sailing and more. Or if you feel like chilling out and enjoying the sun, Benidorm coasts offer the best options.
Safety on the Benidorm beaches is taken extremely seriously. Flags indicating the sea conditions (ie suitability for swimming) are flown at regular and visible points, lifeguards patrol or watch from look out stations and there is a Beach Police Service with sand and sea patrols (quad-bikes, inflatable launches and jetskis) looking after the safety of the holidaymakers.
