Benidorm Guide: The Square
<<Where To Stay
Most of Benidorms nightlife is centered in or arround "The Square", which is indisputably Benidorms main entertainment area. Here, between the night clubs, discos and assorted entertainments, you will find bars, Irish bars, English bars Karaoke bars, sports bars.. all no holds barred.
In fact "The Square" is not actually a square but instead is an area with a pedestrianised street, Avenida de Mallorca, as its centre.
Roughly speaking "The Square" is bound by Calle Gerona to the South, Calle Ibiza to the North, Avenida de Cuenca to the West and Avenida Filipinas to the East. But that is just the main hub. There are quite a few popular night spots outside of this arbitrary boundary.
Calle Gerona has several good restaurants at the western end and many cheap eating places, British style pubs and some of the well known nightspots, such as Morgan's Tavern, Stardust and Broadway, which host a string of live acts. The next street, Calle Lepanto, also has several nightspots, such as the Red Dog Western Saloon and Jokers.
Wander around this area and you will find many popular nightspots, such as the Cafe de Benidorm, the Hippodrome, Sinatras, Champions, Bahamas, Beachcomber, Chaplins, and others. These are the venues which host the tribute bands, comedians and other acts every night. And the good thing is you can just walk in to any of them and if you like what you see you stay and if not you walk out. There are no entrance fees and drinks prices are very reasonable, just a bit more than you pay in the pubs. Here you can party all night. In this area some of the establishments are open until breakfast time.
